Chamber music has always been at the center of her musical life. Zala performs regularly with the Cello Quartet Cédez, the Piano Trio Sensibile, and various small ensembles created for individual projects. For many years she was also a member of the ASAG Quartet in Vienna. She has appeared at festivals such as Cello Biennale Amsterdam, Cellofest Ljubljana, Festival Maribor, Sinfonietta String Festival Zeeland, and numerous chamber music series in Slovenia and abroad.

A notable part of her orchestral experience is her being an academist with the Amsterdam Sinfonietta, where she performed on major stages and worked closely with internationally renowned artists. She has also collaborated with the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, the Zagreb Philharmonic, and the FB Banda Chamber Orchestra. Through these projects, she has had the opportunity to work alongside musicians such as Henning Kraggerud, Kian Soltani, Nicolas Altstaedt, and the Kelemen Quartet, all of whom have influenced her artistic development.

Zala has been recognized at several competitions, notably as a multiple first-prize winner at TEMSIG, a finalist of Eurovision Young Musicians, and a recipient of the Škerjanc Award for outstanding artistic achievements. She has also received prizes at international competitions such as Svirél, Euritmia, Ars Nova, and the Laszlo Spezzaferri International Competition.

She continues to balance performance and teaching, valuing both for the different perspectives they bring to her musical growth.
